ISSAK | Hope
Added September 5, 2007
Issak is a developmentally disabled senior, who was greek, I believe.
He had a lot of personality. I did this when I worked for seniors one summer
and was pregnant with my first son.
I want to be friends with Isaak. He reminds me of
my cousin Manny's stepson. He stole my heart when I only asked him to steal my car stereo
(for the insurance).

Any lack of dimensionality in the image is more than compensated for by
the obvious emotional connection the artist has with her subject.
The above being noted, I am hopeful that the subject was wearing a
sweater on the day of this portrait. Greeks are a swarthy lot aren't
they? If you work as an artist can you make workerart?
